ABOUT BHUTAN

Bhutan, a Buddhist kingdom on the Himalayas’ eastern edge, is known for its monasteries, fortresses (or dzongs) and dramatic landscapes that range from subtropical plains to steep mountains and valleys. In the High Himalayas, peaks such as 7,326m Jomolhari are popular trekking destinations. Paro Taktsang monastery (also known as Tiger’s Nest) clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley.

DAY 01: DHAKA TO PARO

Journey will be started from Dhaka International Airport. Tourists will be received at Paro Airport, Transfer to Thimphu Hotel. It’s 1 hours scenic drive. On the way visit (Iron Bridge & Tamchong Lakhang). After having lunch visit Budda Point, Archery Ground, Memorial Chorten. In the evening strolling/ shopping. After having dinner night halt at Hotel/ Resort, Thimphu.

DAY 02: FULL DAY THIMPHU TOUR

After having breakfast visit Zoo, Budda Point& Zigmey Doorje National Park/ Cherry Monastery. Drive back to city. On the way visit Stupa. In the afternoon visit SAARC Building, Tashicho Dzong & Dachen Lam. In the evening enjoy Thimphu nightlife & Night halt at Hotel/ Resort, Thimphu.

DAY 03: THIMPHU TO PUNAKHA

After having breakfast drive to Punakha. On the way visit DoChala (Pass) & enjoy snowcapped Himalayan Picks. Arrive at Punakha & visit Picturesque Phunakha Dzong & Monastery in the city. Lunch & proceed to Wangdi. Dinner & night halt at Hotel/ Resort, Punakha/Wangdi.

DAY 04: FULL DAY PUNAKHA

After having breakfast Pubjika day trip. After lunch visit Gantey Gompha, Pubjika Valley & drive back to Punakha. Dinner & night halt at Hotel, Punakha/Wangdi.

DAY 05: PUNAKHA TO PARO

After having breakfast 9am, drive to Paro. On the way visit Airport View Point. After that visit chele la pass then back to Paro.  Check in the Resort/ hotel & after lunch visit National Museum, Kicho Monastery, Paro Town. Dinner & night halt at Hotel/Resort, Paro.

 

DAY 06: FULL DAY TIGER NEST HIKE

After having breakfast visit Drukyal Dzong & Back to Hotel. After lunch at 12.30 visit Taksang monastery by Hiking. Hike to first station or cafeteria – about 2 hours. Hike to second station – about 1 hour. 350 steps to Tiger Nest – about 1 hour. Hike down to the base – about 1.5 hours & Drukyal Dzong and visit Airport View Point. In the evening enjoy Shopping at Paro Town. Dinner & night halt at Hotel/Resort, Paro.

DAY- 07: PARO DEPARTURE

After having breakfast departure from Paro Airport. (Day of departure free of cost).
