ABOUT SUNDARBAN

The delta that houses the mangrove area known as the Sundarbans is formed by the confluence of the Ganges, Brahmaputra, and Meghna Rivers in the Bay of Bengal. It runs from the Baleswar River in Bangladesh to the Hooghly River in the Indian state of West Bengal.

DEPARTURE TIME: Please arrive at least 3 hours before the flight.

>> TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1:

We will depart Khulna Launch Ghat / Mongla early in the morning (6.30/07-am) for the Sundarbans. When we will arrive at the Dhangmari Forest Office at 11.30 a.m., we will pay the forest tax and pick up our forest guard. At that point, the ship will set out for its first destination, the Herbaria Mangrove Trail, which we will explore before moving on to its next target, Kachikhali. On the first day, we will spend the night on the ship at the Kachikhali tourist location.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served.

Day 2:

We can take a morning cruise down the Kachikhali Channel on the second day and spend some time exploring the nearby forest. When you feel ready, return to the boat, have breakfast, and the cruise sets sail for its next stop, the Katka tourist location. The Katka tourist location, which includes the Katka Sea Beach, the wild forest, and the Katka Watch Tower, will be visited by our yacht in the morning following breakfast. In Katka we can take one’s bath in katka sea beach.

After lunch, we'll explore the office side of the biggest mangrove forest and take in the sunset. Afterward, we'll return by boat, and the ship will set sail for Karamjal Wildlife Center, which is its next stop. On day two, we will spend the night on a boat close to the Dhangmari Forest Office.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served.

Day 3:

We will visit the Karamjal Wildlife Center early on the third day, after which we will go for Khulna. You have two options for finishing the trip: either take an overnight bus or train from Jessore to Dhaka, or take a fly back.
